LAS VEGAS—The neon lights of Fremont Street did get a little brighter and a lot louder last weekend.

Tanguy, the long-haired, leather-clad rocker with a penchant for 80’s glam rock and heavy riffs, made his Las Vegas debut show on Saturday, April 18, at The Griffin. The event served as the official release party for his latest single, “Goin’ For A Ride,” a track that promises to capture the adrenaline of the open road, and the vibes of the Sunset Strip.

For Tanguy, bringing this specific brand of high-energy performance to the heart of downtown Las Vegas was a calculated move to tap into the city’s authentic music scene. The night kicked off at 511 Fremont St. with doors opening at 9 p.m.. To set the mood, DJ Mika Gold performed from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., priming the crowd before TANGUY and his band took the stage for the main event at 10 p.m. The Griffin is known for its stunning vaulted brick ceilings and fire pits, offering a different atmosphere than the larger commercial showrooms found on the Las Vegas Strip.

“Honestly, I’m tired of how fake and over-polished a lot of music feels now. So I made a real song out of a true story,” Tanguy said. “It’s about letting go of your problems for a moment, getting out on the road, and having fun now.” The promo tional imagery for the event reflects this throwback philosophy, featuring the artist with a sunburst Epiphone guitar alongside a white Corvette. The visual style aligns with the single’s themes of speed, freedom, and the classic rock-and-roll lifestyle.

The debut show came at a time when the Fremont East District continues to grow as a hub for alternative entertainment. While the Strip remains the primary destination for international tourists, venues like The Griffin provide a space for emerging artists to establish a more personal connection with their audience.

The show itself was a high-octane statement: 10 songs and 1 encore delivered by a tight 4-piece band led by TANGUY, blending explosive stage energy with the intimate, up-close atmosphere of The Griffin. With roaring guitars, high-range vocals, and a crowd-feeding performance style, the set proved that TANGUY’s band is real, promising, and ready to go.
